Hey Jay.. Nice to hear from you. I hope you and your Dad had a great Christmas and New Year. Also, hope your winter isn't as cold as it was last year. For breakfast the charge is $7.50 and dinner is $29.95 Ihis sounds like new guests are thinking about staying at the lodge, hope so. By the way, the animals are great. I think, Maya, can't wait to get back to the lodge. See you both in the summer. Say hi to your Dad. Mary
Hey Jay, I apologize for taking so long to answer back; thanks for the concern e-mail with Lucky. He only suffered a little over a week but I think he suffered severely the last couple of days. You could see the tumor on his liver was quite large, so I suspect it was growing since the summer. If I go back in time, Lucky wasn't quite himself during the summer months. I got another dog but only had him about two weeks and then returned him to his owners. This dog had a lot of issues. He was raised as a outside dog so therefore he dirtied in the house. He was also had social issues and therefore was extremely nervous. I couldn't imagine him at the lodge or even trying to go on the pontoon boat. It would of been a disaster. The only good thing about this dog was he didn't bark. He is four years old and has never barked. Anyway, it's going to be difficult to find another dog like Lucky. So, I guess no more dogs. Instead, I'm bringing my daughter's cat out this year as well as N.C. He's quite the hunter so Mike will be happy about the new addition.
I hope you and your Dad had a great season. See you both in August. Say hi to your Dad. Mary
Glad you used some of the pictures, we should be booking about the same time for next year usually the 3th week of August. Depends on Ken’s class schedule. I thought you would like the picture of BOGA. Tell your Dad i said hello.
Congrats on a great trip. You were hitting it pretty hard. I don't know if you noticed the 19ft. crestliner named "muskeye" but that is my boat. Your boat must have passed us a dozen times throughout the two weeks. We fish many of the same areas! I cottage by Allison isalnd (table rock to the locals) and have been renting or cottaging on the river since 1976. I believe we know a similar acquaintance the dock boy at riverview named Peter. Thank you for being kind to him, he also has musky fever! Shoot me an email at email@example.com. Again congrats on a successful trip for you and your Dad. Trust me the big ones are around!
Been a friend of Marc Pitre for many years. We have fished the the Upper a Lower River a few times together. Did you make it to the Pickerel River Pigout this year. there were a few from Sudbury at the outing. I have a place on the Pickerel River and grew up in Magnetawan.
