My first time at the Lodge was in May of 2000. Beginning in 2002, I started making two trips per year. I missed out on the 2015 season due to shoulder surgery and all that did we cement in my mind how much I like the place!
Ken Ray comes to the Lodge every year and for this trip, he brought his daughter Melissa and her two daughters Madeline and Alexia. They had fun catching bass & pike, and although Ken says he saw musky, he never did get a hookup.
Joey Bray and his friend are leaving today after arriving on the 30th. They brought their own boat and reported connecting with some nice pike.

This was my travel day. I didn’t hit the road until nearly 9am since my packing wasn’t complete, which was unusual. But with the demands of the job, my free time has shrunk, plus my dog Duke was sick all night and that created other problems. Anyway, I got him walked and even gave him a bath before I left.

Bob Soles and his friend Fern caught 'a lot' of bass and some smaller pike on topwater.
Dale Jenne's group did well on pike during their stay, with one member, Dan, catching a 38" musky on a #5 Mepps spinner.
Dan Geary's group from Cleveland had a slow week, but they did manage to catch a 40" musky!
Al Buccuti was in for a short stay, unfortunately, they had to leave early due to some family issues at home.
