We typically go up tyhe first week of June and have always had great success. However, I have been there in the Summer and been successfull as well. For pike and musky, target deeper weed edges (12-15ft) as the fish will be coming out of the shallows as the water warms up. There needs to be even deeper water near by (25-30ft). They'll be on the edges looking for an easy meal (perch, walleye, panfish, etc.). I don't typically target walleye when I go up, but we have caught them in the summer on some of the deeper reefs in the evening outside of Sand and Satchels Bay. Gotta find underwater structure in 20-25ft. Good luck!
