Mark Beavan is in with his daughter Julia. She hit it big when a very large pike nailed her Blue Fox spinner. Scott posted a picture earlier. Unfortunately, they didn’t get a measurement on the beast before they released it. Nonetheless, it was a beauty!
In addition to that huge pike, Julia caught a 27" walleye and her father got himself a 29 incher. They’ve also reported a huge musky follow, but as of yet, no hookups on one. Mike Pettry plans to take Julia out today in search of the…Continue

Gino Ciotola and his friends Scott, Jason, and Tim are the only guests in camp this week and they are patrolling the river making all types of catches on topwater baits. With the warming waters and long days, the fish have become super active.
Zara Spooks are once again the lure of choice due to the explosive strikes and lack of weeds at the surface to mess up their action.
We can count on Gino to post some photos on his return, for sure!

A few guests arrived on Friday in advance of the 2018 season opener on Saturday, May 18.
As mentioned previously, John Busgos spent the long weekend doing his thing, fishing from the dock in front of Beach.
Raul Santos worked to locate walleye and found several sweet spots, anchoring just off drop-offs that held fish. Learning from others in camp that the pickerel were hitting on minnows, he dug through his tackle box and found a Rapala Jigging Rap that worked wonders. He…Continue

What has been the longest stretch of ice cover ever has the guys way behind in their opening preparations. The first guests arrive in 6 days and the docks and boats are not yet in the water. That should all change this week once help, in the form of Bernie's Crew gets there, followed by…Continue
