The Lunge Lodge on the Upper French River

The ice has left the river, allowing Scott & Mike to get over to the Lodge on Friday.  The first order of business was to get the water turned on, and by 3:00 Saturday, that chore was complete.

What has been the longest stretch of ice cover ever has the guys way behind in their opening preparations.  The first guests arrive in 6 days and the docks and boats are not yet in the water.  That should all change this week once help, in the form of Bernie's Crew gets there, followed by Steve and Jeff who will lend a hand while transitioning ownership over to Scott and Tiffany.

Germaine, the new cook, got her first look at the place over the weekend and arrives for the season on Monday.

As usual, the tough winter conditions wrecked some havoc on the place, but nothing significant.  The worst that happened was a limb that crashed a corner of the Red Pine Cabin that now requires some roof repair and the correction of some water damage in the corner by the bathroom.

Weekly reports should be regularly posted going forward, so stay tuned to this reports page for updates.

Here we go, 2018!
