The Lunge Lodge

The Lunge Lodge on the Upper French River

Scott and Tiffany got out several times during Tiffany’s 10 day stay and reported catching a 38” musky.  Last night, though, Scott broke the 50” mark.  His 50½” musky is pictured above.  Congratulations, Scott!

The catch rate has slowed, which is typical for July, but there has still been plenty of activity to report.

Bob Gaskowski led a group of 5 to the Lodge from Pittsburgh.  They reported catching walleye and pike, with their largest ‘eye measuring out to 22 inches.

Jack Jordan, his son Jeff and grandson Jackson just arrived.  Jackson has taken to the docks and has caught more than 50 rock bass so far!

A Toronto-based group of 4, Paul Heino and friends, have been catching pike and bass.

Chris Davis, Brian, and their two sons traveled up from Buffalo.  They had a good time and stated that they are coming back.  Mike acted as a guide for them for a day and reported Cole, one of the sons caught a really nice bass.

The Bernhardt’s completed their week.  Although there were no more muskies caught, they did manage to find the walleye they target.

Helm Hansen made his first trip, catching bass and pike.  He’s posted a picture of a 4lb smallie here.

John Busgos made a return trip, arriving on June 30th and left on the 3rd.  As usual, he had a relaxing time, fishing from the porch of Beech.

Frank Stapp brought a group of 7, Brian Shreck among them.  Brian caught back-to-back muskies, 5 minutes apart, measuring 38” and 30” respectively.  His brother Eric reported catching some nice pike as well as bass.

Tom Majaski was up.  According to Mike, he had a decent week as well during his stay.

Steve Rosky's friend Keez caught a 40” musky to go along with a 32” and 35” pike.

There are 18 guests in camp now.
