The power was out yesterday and seems to have affected the phones. Outgoing calls are possible, but it’s hit or miss on incoming calls. The phone either rings, or goes straight to a busy signal. Hopefully, it will resolve itself soon!
On the fishing front, the families of Matt Madden and Tom Kroft are in this week. They’ve been catching bass and pike. Last night, they held a bass tournament, the challenge being to bring back your best 4 bass. Mike Pettry paired up with Max Madden – they brought back 4 nice ones to take honors. Lisa, and her two daughters, brought back 2 good largemouth, which meant that the defending champs, a three-man team made up of Matt, Ziff, and Tom finished last, only managing to catch one little one between the three of them! Mike and Max planned to go musky fishing today.
Joe McGreal is in with a group of 5. Mitchell McGreal caught a 24” musky yesterday and Joe Sr. caught a ‘good’ pike. They’ve also been catching bass.
Jeremy Krahe is leading a group of 6 from Ohio and reported losing a 40”-class musky at the boat yesterday when it shook his bait.
The Byers are in, and in between the rain, have been fishing off the docks. The group of 4, Robert, his wife Kathy, son Bobby and his wife Alicia drove up from Pennsylvania to spend two weeks at the Lodge.
