With the coming of October, we’re just a few weeks away from the end of the 2017 season.
Those in camp are strictly on the housekeeping plan now that Mary has returned to her home in North Bay.
Our September guests enjoyed some beautiful days on the water and reported some fine catches.
The Hockrider’s caught good numbers of walleye, most of them small, but many of note, including a 26½, a 25, and a couple of 24’s. They found these fish in 50’ of water!
Steve McGuire brought a group of 16 and they too, sought out walleye.
Joe Vatter was in the second week of September with his wife, Halaine and he posted a pic of the 30” musky he caught while out with Mike. He used a new rod and reel combo given to him as a retirement gift from his co-workers and now has the bug to catch a much bigger ‘lunge!
Chris and Mike Kister were in from Kingston, ON. They hooked into a big musky that eventually got off, but they got some great video of it breaking water. We’re looking forward to them posting it soon.
The Merics and Harshberger’s were in for a two week stay. We previously posted a picture of Roger’s 54” musky and when Jay got home he posted a pic of a 40” fish that Roger also caught. Dan Harshberger, Jr. got in on the musky action as well, catching a 45 incher.
